Bent conducts IDCs in Phuket, Thailand, one of the busiest tourist destinations in Southeast Asia. Phuket offers some of the best diving in Southeast Asia as well, so it's a good combination. Bent teaches IDCs through Sea Fun Divers, a PADI Five-Star CDC. Sea Fun Divers has two locations in Phuket, the KataThani Resort in Kata Noi and Le Meridien in Karon Noi. Bent has been conducting IDCs through these facilities since 1994.
By using one of two of the best resorts on Phuket, we are able to rise above the competition. These resorts have all the facilities we need to help you learn to be the best. These resorts have real, working dive shops, and are international in scope. These dive shops are similar to dive shops you would find in resorts all over the world so you learn to deal with today's demanding consumer in five-star facilities. Learning to operate at the best facilities allows you to adjust later if you want to work out of a beach-shack somewhere. It's better to start with the best.
Sea Fun Divers has plenty of classroom space at either resort and the classrooms
are air-conditioned and large enough to
enable up to twenty or more IDC candidates to learn
comfortably. [Normally class sizes are not this big.]
There is ample area at the dive shop for
personal gear storage, and tanks are filled
on-site. The pools are large (40 x 80 m) and have plenty of room
for our candidates, plus regular dive students
from the resort.
The beaches are located just right outside
the dive shops with a short swim to beautiful
coral reefs. Conditions are calm for most
of the year, and the bays make ideal
training sites. During low season if necessary, we use boats for day trips.
